The challenge

Fewer context switches. More control over production.

When a farm uses printers from different manufacturers, the operator has to work with several apps, browser tabs, folders, and spreadsheets at the same time.

Before

One farm — several disconnected tools

Statuses live in vendor apps, files are scattered across folders, and completed parts have to be counted manually.

Bambu StudioFluidd / MainsailFlashPrintCreality PrintSpreadsheetsCameras
After

Equipment, jobs, and production output in one interface

The operator sees the entire farm, launches prepared jobs, and knows how many parts have actually been produced for each project.

  • A single list of printers and statuses
  • Projects, parts, and production plan
  • Quick jobs without creating a project
  • Diagnostics and operator guidance
Features

From printer status to project completion

Four core workflows cover the path from equipment monitoring to completed-part tracking.

01 · FARM MONITORING

Different printers on one screen

See equipment status, progress, temperatures, and available actions without constantly switching between vendor applications.

  • Printer list or grid
  • Real-time statuses and errors
  • Progress and remaining time
  • File compatibility check against the printer model
Farm overview with printer statuses
02 · PROJECTS

See project completion based on parts actually printed

Set the required quantity of parts and track plan completion. Farm Manager reads build plate composition from 3MF/G-code metadata and slicer object data; if the data is ambiguous, it does not guess quantities and leaves them for manual review. After a successful print, the production counters are updated.

  • Required and printed quantities
  • Status of each line item
  • Overall project completion
  • Files, due dates, and notes next to parts

03 · QUICK JOBS

Quick jobs without creating a project

Add urgent, test, and one-off jobs to a separate list. G-code and prepared 3MF files can be sent to print immediately; STL, OBJ, STEP/STP open in the selected slicer for preparation.

  • Drag-and-drop file adding
  • Quantity and notes for every job
  • Parallel printing on multiple printers
  • Open STL, OBJ, STEP/STP in the selected slicer
Quick jobs with files and counters
04 · CONTROL AND DIAGNOSTICS

Control printing and find the cause of issues faster

Core actions are available in the printer card, while guidance and the event log give the operator context for the next step.

  • Start, pause, and stop
  • Temperatures, camera, and AMS
  • Upload prepared files
  • Warnings, guided tour, and diagnostic log

Local operation

Your data and equipment remain under your control

Farm Manager is designed for a trusted local network and does not require a mandatory cloud service.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Personal and commercial use is permitted free of charge. Selling the application or charging for its installation or configuration is prohibited.

No. The application is designed to operate within a local network. A mandatory cloud account is not required.

No. There is no telemetry. Databases and operational information are stored locally on the computer running the application.

Yes, if the devices are on an accessible local network. The computer running Farm Manager must remain powered on.

G-code and prepared 3MF files can be sent to print. STL, OBJ, STEP, and STP are model files and open in the selected slicer first.

The installer is not digitally signed, so Windows SmartScreen may display a warning. Download the official file only from the 3DIWELL website and verify it against the published SHA-256 checksum.

No artificial limit is stated. Practical performance depends on the computer, network, printer models, and integrations in use. The application is used on a farm with more than 20 devices.

On some models, local connectivity, printer control, or camera viewing requires enabling LAN Mode, LAN Only Mode, Developer Mode, or local camera streaming. The exact settings depend on the equipment and firmware. Farm Manager does not enable these modes automatically.

No. Support is entirely voluntary, does not affect the terms of use, and does not unlock additional features.

The Farm Manager application sends no telemetry. The project page anonymously counts downloads and voluntary “Useful for me” or “Not relevant right now” reactions. No registration, name, or email address is required.
